About G & G

At Guidance & Growth Psychotherapy Services, LLC, we believe that healing happens when the mind and body are cared for together. Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you can show up exactly as you are and begin exploring what it means to live a more balanced, authentic life.

We take a holistic and compassionate approach, honoring your unique story, strengths, and identity. Together, we’ll work to unlearn old patterns, build new skills, and move toward the version of yourself that feels most true and grounded.

At G & G, we celebrate diversity, connection, and growth—and we’re here to walk beside you as you find your peace.

The Woman Behind G&G

I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker with experience supporting teens, college students, and adults (16+) through challenges like depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic stress, identity exploration, and life transitions.

I provide gender-affirming, culturally mindful, and anti-oppressive care, following WPATH Standards of Care and offering Gender Confirmation Treatment Support Letters for clients in consistent therapy. My integrative approach blends mindfulness, somatic healing, internal family systems, DBT, schema therapy, and trauma-informed care, helping clients build awareness, emotional regulation, and a deeper connection with themselves.

Rooted in Appalachian culture, I hold a deep appreciation for authenticity, resilience, and connection. These values shape both my personal life and therapeutic approach, reminding me of the strength that comes from honoring where we come from. I also carry with me the love and lessons from my beloved Basset Hound, Sonny, who shared 13 wonderful years by my side and continues to inspire the compassion and grounding I bring to my work each day.

Pictured here is my beloved Basset Hound, Sonny — my soul’s best friend and companion for 13 wonderful years. He brought endless joy, warmth, and grounding to my life.

Outside The Office

Outside the therapy room, you’ll often find me in a cozy coffee shop, tending to my plants, exploring nature, or diving into a true crime or mystery novel. My husband and I keep honey bees as a fun horticultural hobby, and this photo captures our very first honey harvest in 2023 — a sweet milestone! When I’m not tending to the hives, you’ll often find me in my vegetable garden, nurturing plants and finding peace in the rhythm of nature. I also love to travel — discovering new places, cultures, and perspectives is one of the most grounding and inspiring parts of my life. Exploring the world allows me to continually learn, connect with others, and bring fresh insight and empathy into my work. I’m also forever grateful for the years shared with my beloved 13-year-old Basset Hound, Sonny, who brought endless joy and calm to my world.

These photos capture some of the moments that inspire and ground me — from releasing a baby sea turtle with a nonprofit organization in Costa Rica, to discovering vibrant street art in Glasgow, Scotland. On the left, you’ll see a photo of fresh vegetables I harvested from my own homegrown garden — one of my favorite places to unwind and reconnect. My husband and I also keep honey bees as a fun horticultural hobby, and our first honey harvest in 2023 was a sweet milestone! Whether I’m traveling, exploring new cultures, or tending to the garden at home, I find so much meaning in staying curious, connected, and close to nature.
